Replacement of the line with new pipe is a costly solution, requiring the complete excavation of the route of the water mains, with all the inevitable consequences of major traffic disruptions and residential and business access interference.
Rehabilitation, at a fraction of the cost of replacement,
offers these advantages:
Restored flow and carrying capacity
Reduced pumping costs and conservation of vital
energy resources
Elimination of internal corrosion and tuberculation
Cement-mortar or epoxy provides protection against
future corrosion and tuberculation
Reduced maintenance and fire insurance costs
Elimination of discolored water
Continuity of water service while job is in progress
No traffic tie-ups
Protects Investment
Reduces construction time
